Rotation Schedule

1st Year Fellows

Fellows will rotate to inpatient, acute inpatient, outpatient, neurology consultation during the first year of CAP Fellowship. Rotations will also include substance abuse disorders, eating disorders, and residential facilities. Fellows participate in patient safety and quality improvement activities/projects and begin work within the different psychotherapy competencies.

Notes:

  • Didactic courses are held on each Wednesday throughout the year.
  • Vacations : Each fellow has 15 days to be taken throughout the year. The schedule is determined by resident choice, proportional to rotation length.
  • 1st year fellows have 5% of time July through December for Academic and Community Electives: these do not involve direct patient care and research is a variable percentage. 1st year fellows have 5% of time from July through December in Early Childhood Education at Sheltering Arms.
  • 1st year fellows have 10% of time for Psychotherapy from January through June: 100% outpatient.

 

2nd Year Fellows

This year provides training and experience in outpatient community psychiatry. Experiences in school consultation, specialty outpatient consultation, and outpatient therapy. Fellows participate in patient safety and quality improvement activities/projects and begin work within the different psychotherapy competencies.
