ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÜÕ¾Welcomes Largest-Ever Entering Class of 159 Students at 31st Fall Convocation, White Coat & Pinning Ceremony

 

 

ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÜÕ¾ (MSM) hosted its 31st Fall Convocation, White Coat & Pinning Ceremony on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the National Center for Primary Care Auditorium. Dr. George Rust, ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÜÕ¾professor of Family Medicine and co-director of the National Center for Primary Care, served as the event's keynote speaker. This ceremony marks the first official step in 159 ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÜÕ¾students' medical educations -- that number being the largest-ever entering class in MSM's 40-year history. New students received the symbol of their chosen profession and took their first oath of professional medical ethics.

 

Degree breakdown of the 159 new students:

- 84 Doctor of Medicine
- 10 Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences
- 6 Master of Science in Biomedical Research
- 9 Master of Science in Clinical Research
- 20 Master of Science in Medical Sciences
- 28 Master of Public Health
